Today a lot of online marketers believe that direct mail marketing is old school. Direct mail marketing is still alive and well. Just take a look at a lot of the big time Internet Marketers that are beginning to send out correspondence through the mail.
My personal favorite way to use direct mail marketing is via postcards. Postcards are easy to create, you don’t have to have very much information on them in order to get people’s attention and they are the cheapest to send.
Now you are probably thinking, “How am I going to make a living sending out postcards?” I’ll answer that with another question; “Can you live on $20,000 per month?” If your answer is “yes” than postcards can work for you in a direct mail marketing campaign.
$20,000 per month might sound like a lot of money but trust me, it is nothing in the direct mail marketing world. I know people that make that much in a week and that is still small potatoes.
It all really comes down to wrapping your head around that it all comes down to your believe system about money. People don’t understand that it really is about a sound system, testing, numbers, rinse, repeat and build on what works.
An easy way to look into direct mail marketing is to go to a site called NextMark.com. There you will find an array of mailing list owners that you can mail to based on just about anything that you can think of.
The #1 tip that I can give you about direct mail marketing of any kind is to only buy buyers lists! It is a very simple direct mail marketing tip but it’s essential to your success because buyers are fifteen times more likely to buy the same type of product than someone who is just interested.
