The World of Internet Marketing

Write It Down?

Write it down?  Write what down?  What you want of course…

I talk to people all of the time about writing things down.  No, not what you need to get at the grocery store.  I’m talking about your goals, hopes and dreams.

I don’t know why people don’t do this more.  I’m guessing that they feel a bit hokey doing it but that is just because they don’t understand the process.  Is this you?  Just thinking about doing this exercise makes the hair on your arms stand up a bit or give you that tingling sensation throughout your body that you feel when you feel funny about doing something that makes you a little uncomfortable?

We all feel that way in the beginning.  What you have to understand is that the reason you are feeling this way is because of your programming.  That’s right, programming!

Why do you think that a high ninety something percent of people never have any real success and die virtually broke?  It’s their programming that begins at birth by the very people that will end up dying with no money or achieving any real success.

There is good news!  You don’t have to accept the programming that you have been given.  You can break the cycle but you must begin to think differently than the masses and even more importantly be willing to step outside your comfort zone.

You see, comfort is a strange thing.  It stops you from trying to do better.  Sure, you will want to do better than you are but being comfortable will paralyze you from trying because it is very easy to be lazy and become complacent in your ways.

So if you have a goal that you really want to achieve write it down, focus on it and most of all, become uncomfortable…

How to Stop Theft of Your Product

If you have ever created your own digital product or had one created for you, someone stealing it has probably been a concern.  Some steal digital products for their own use but others steal them in order to give them away or even sell them as their own.

There are BlackHat forums online that are dedicated to doing things that are really shady, while teaching others to do the same.  Terrible I know, but there are avenues that you can take that will help you in the fight against piracy of your digital product.

If you find out that someone has stolen your product and is redistributing it, don’t waste your time trying to contact them directly.  I promise you that you will be ignored and will needlessly cause yourself a lot of aggravation.

The easiest way to resolve the issue is to contact the hosting provider of the website where your content is being distributed.  Why?  The reason being is that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) states that the hosting company can be held responsible for any copyright-infringement hosted on their servers.

Believe me, when you contact them and let them know that pirated content is being shared via their servers, they will shut that crap down so fast that your head will spin!  The hosting provider doesn’t want to be fined, sued or even shut down.

Below is a sample of a DMCA document that you can send to hosting providers.  All you have to do is edit the sections within the brackets.

How You Can Get A Huge Hostgator Discount

1 Cent Hostgator Discount Code: almostfree

In this post I am going to tell you about a great Hostgator discount code.  More often than not I get asked who has the best hosting service.  I have several low cost web hosting accounts with different providers so I have some experience in this area.  I have different accounts in order to prevent exposure of all of my niche markets.  There is a lot of spying happening on the Internet so you can’t be too careful.

If I were to give you a quick Hostgator review I would have to say that I’ve never had any problems with Hostgator servers going down.  Their website says that they have a 99.9% uptime and it seems to be correct.  I’ve been with them for many years and I got a pretty good Hostgator discount when I first started because I paid for a year in advance.

Nowadays you don’t have to shell out so much money up front in order to get a great Hostgator discount because there are a lot of coupons out there ripe for the picking.

I think that it is great that you can choose from 3 Hostgator plans that are already cheap.  You can choose from the single domain hatchling plan, the baby plan and the business plan.

My personal choice for someone that is a beginner to intermediate is the baby plan.  The reason why is simple, with the hatchling plan you only get 1 single domain and even with a Godaddy discount coupon it will still cost you more in the long run having to pay for both domains and individual hatchling plans each time that you want to setup a new website.

On the other hand the baby and business plans are both very good but if you don’t yet have the need to create a website with your own merchant account, you really don’t need dedicated SSL, IP and a toll free phone number for support on the business plan.  The online chat support works really great!  Therefore the baby plan is the wisest choice because with the “almostfreeHostgator discount code you can get your first month for only 1 cent.  After that you then only pay $9.95 per month for unlimited domains, disk space and bandwidth.  It’s really a great bargain.

So use the Hostgator discount code and get $9.94 off of your first month.  Try it now and if you don’t like it, you have 45 whole days to get a refund.  It’s a no-brainer!

Internet Marketing Mentor

How important is an internet marketing mentor; in a word “extremely!”

If you don’t have an internet marketing mentor in this business you will either be one of the 98% that fail or one that will go round and round in circles for years before having some success…

People ask me all the time why a mentor is so important and I simply tell them “mistake reduction.”  Just think about when you were in high school and if you had to learn Algebra from a book with no teacher.  How many of the students do you think would have been able to learn it?  I have a pretty good hunch that not many would.

It is no different in this arena and an internet marketing mentor would greatly reduce your learning curve because you won’t have to make as many mistakes.  With that said, the next question is usually something to do with finding a good one.  I normally answer that with, “it varies.”

There is no “one size fits all” guru that can help everyone.  You have to find the best internet marketing mentor that works best for you.  You’ll know that person when you see him/her because you will get a feeling of comfort and ease of learning.

When you find your internet marketing mentor you will probably get a shot of endorphins (an organic chemical produced by the brain that causes positive feelings of joy) because you will just get what he/she is talking about and know that you can do it.

One thing that I know for sure and that is that once you have found your internet marketing mentor; you need to unsubscribe from all email mailing lists and just follow the teachings of that person.  The reason is simple; information overload!  Don’t let it happen to you.  You will have more success in a shorter amount of time if you just take that advice.

Do you have an internet marketing mentor that you follow right now?  Leave a comment and let me know who he or she is.

Why The Word “No” Is Beautiful?

Most people hear the word “no” and it really makes them upset; especially in business.  When I hear the word “no” I think it is great because I know that I’m one step closer to the word “yes” and that feels great!

Here is a simple method that I use to take the power out of the word “no.”

Imagine that there is a certain number of no’s that you have to here in order to get the best reward that you could ever dream of.  In your mind, be absolutely sure that the reward is coming.

Now all you have to do is get through all of those no’s to reach that one simple “yes” and that special reward is yours.  The hardest thing about this process is that you don’t know how many no’s that you will have to endure before you get that one “yes.”

Make a game out of it!  If you have co-workers, let them in on it or if you work for yourself tell someone that believes in you about your game.  The game is: How many no’s can I get today!

I know that it sounds a little odd but once you desensitize yourself to the word “no” you’ll also be desensitizing yourself to the negative feelings that go along with it.  The next thing you know you’ll be breezing through all of those no’s without any residual negative feelings and yes’s will be plentiful…

What do you think about the word “no?”
