Video Marketing Tips

Today I would like to give you a few quick video marketing tips.

Before I do, I would just like to say that video marketing is one of the quickest and easiest ways to make money online.  The reason being that video is still pretty new and growing rapidly at a maddening pace.

I’m not going to go into all of the boring statistics in order to give you some video marketing tips.  I am going to just tell you that if you want to get some real traction on the Internet and do it in a very short amount of time, the way to do it is with video.

People are so prone to watching television that it was a natural progression that we would all like to do the same thing online.  Now that broadband speeds have become affordable to the masses, many millions of more people now have access to online video.

What this has done is made video the medium of choice when it comes to how most people want to consume information online.  Therefore companies from the very large all the way down to one person operations use video to create awareness about their businesses.

As for video marketing tips the first one is to make sure your business has a presence at the biggest video sharing site on the planet and that’s YouTube.  If you don’t pick any other video sharing sites to submit videos to make sure that you at least submit some there.  The reason being that Google owns them and you will have a good chance of getting into the Google search engine and being found on the video site as well.

The next one of my video marketing tips would be to name your YouTube account an actual keyword that is a buying phrase that you have researched and you want to rank for.  Most people just use the keyword phrase in the video title but you will get even better results if you use it in your username.

I’m going to wrap up my video marketing tips by telling you to make sure that you research other high volume views videos within your niche and reverse engineer their success by looking at their title, description and keyword tags.  Don’t copy them word for word but make your similar and if possible, do a video response to the video that is doing so well and siphon off some of those views.

I hope you’ve enjoyed a few of my video marketing tips?  Leave me a comment and tell me how you like video marketing.

Email Marketing Best Practices

I’ve been in this Internet marketing game awhile now but I am still shocked when I get emails from marketers that don’t at least adhere to the most common of email marketing best practices.

What do I mean by email marketing best practices?  I mean that the whole reason why we use email to market with is to pre-sell.  Many marketers today either don’t take the time or don’t know that they should be practicing pre-selling techniques in their emails.

Without creating an extremely long post, I’m going to give you a quick breakdown of how you should be pre-selling your prospects and customers on something that you want them to take action on.

Email Marketing Best Practices

  1. Always say why you are sending the email.  Let people know that you have something for them to take a serious look at.
  2. In no uncertain terms, tell them what you’ve got.  Don’t beat around the bush here.  Tell them if you have the best software ever made!
  3. Here you need to tell people what your thing is going to do for them.  They need to know how your thing is going to benefit them.
  4. Tell them why they need to take action RIGHT NOW!  If you are attempting to get them to opt into an email list or buy something use scarcity/urgency in some way to in order to move them to take action.
  5. Actually tell them what they need to do once they go where you want them to go.  That might be to opt in to see an important video or buy a great product.

There you have it!  The top five email marketing best practices that will help you to sell more stuff and ultimately make you more successful.

Do you have some really good email marketing best practices?  If you do or just want to be heard, leave a comment.

Passive Income Online

The holy grail of Internet Marketing is the fulfillment of passive income online.  You can ask anyone that understands anything about making money online and they’ll tell you that their number one goal is a set and forget income stream.

Today you are in luck!  I’m going to tell you about one such way to make passive income online.  There is one critical piece of this puzzle that I challenge anyone to dispute, and that is that it requires some work.

I know that the word “work” is a dirty four letter word for a lot of people but it is absolutely necessary if you are going to create a set and forget passive income online.  The key is to make the work as simple as possible, rinse and repeat.

Now I give you the Kindle.  Why the Kindle?  Selling eBooks on the Kindle is the easiest way to make a truly passive income online.  In this post I’m going to give you the basic steps on how to do it.

The easiest and fastest way to make a decent amount of money with the Kindle is use Private Label Rights (PLR) eBooks because they are already written and can be edited very quickly.  If you want to write your own books you can but it will most likely take you much longer to make any worth while income because this method is about volume and not hit publishing.

You should stick to niches like Health & Fitness, Hobbies & Crafts, Entertainment & Sports, Cooking Recipes and Current Events.  These are the categories that sell well on the Kindle and will help you reach your goal of a passive income online.  The Internet Marketing niche does not do well so try it if you want to but you have been warned.

Next is getting setup with an account.  Good news, if you have an Amazon account you can be a Kindle publisher!  Just go to kdp.amazon.com and either sign in or sign up.  Once you do it is a good idea to visit the Amazon KDP support page for complete instructions on how to upload and publish books on Kindle.

At this point it is all about volume.  Upload hundreds even thousands of eBooks and this will create a great passive income online for you in no time!  The best part is that you only upload the books once but they keep working for you on autopilot for years to come.

A Tip: Keep your eBooks priced under 5 bucks because at that price point it is an impulse buy.  Kind of like that candy bar at the checkout line at the grocery store.

Do you make a good passive income online?  Leave a comment and tell us your story.

Path To Success

Dreams entertain, while aspirations create a path to success. – Jay Peete

I speak with a lot of different people from all walks of life and the statement that I opened this post with always seems to hold true.

Absolutely everyone has a dream.  The problem with about 97% of the population is that they are just dreamers.  You can ask anyone what they would like their life to look like and they will become glossy-eyed and paint you a beautiful picture.  The problem is that only a measly 3% of the population would ever do anything about creating a path to success.

I have communicated with a lot of really successful people in my life and the same thing is always apparent; that successful 3% is no different than the 97% that are unsuccessful.  So was the path to success some how easier for the successful 3%?  No!  The only difference is that most people don’t have aspirations.

If you are going to pursue a real path to success you have to have aspirations because it is accompanied by both desire and ambition.  Dreams are just dreams and you will probably never get around to creating a path to success.  You will probably just wish you could win the lottery or somehow come into some money that you didn’t have to work for.

A while back I watched a video by one of the biggest Internet Marketers around, Frank Kern.  He was going to create a new product and wanted to know what the people on his lists thought about the type of product that he should do next so he surveyed them.  When the results came in he was shocked because he thought that his next product should be about mindset but his subscribers strongly felt that it should be about list building.  He said that you should always give the people what they want so he created the List Control product but he clearly stated that the path to success first starts with the proper mindset.  Without it you’ll just be spinning your wheels.

As a final note I’ll just say that your path to success depends on weather you have dreams or really strong aspirations…

Another Push Button Clickbank Product With A Twist?

I’m sorry, but another push button Clickbank product was released recently that has a really funny twist!  It’s called Stripped Down Profits [ATTENTION: You will not see me promoting a product like this unless I purchased it and for some crazy reason it actually worked!].  I wrote a post on this a while back called The Thirty Seven Dollar Rash that better explains my position on these types of products.

This time this is a story of how a former stripper named Haley Milano blackmailed an underground programmer into giving her an automated software program that made her over $682,000 in only 90 days.  Haley claims that she is now a millionaire and has made so much easy money with the software that she now wants to give back.  She says that she no longer needs money and is coming out with her own clothing accessory line in 2012.

That’s Haley pictured below.

Haley Milano Picture

Now first of all, why on earth would you trust someone that blackmailed another person into giving up something of great value?  I don’t know about you but integrity means a lot to me and I wouldn’t want to gain a fortune that way.

Second of all, if you really could just click one single button and bring in money from 9 different income streams, I probably never would have gotten around to starting this blog.  It’s not that I don’t want to help people the way that I do now; it’s just that I would be living it up so much that I wouldn’t have time to write.  LOL!

Third, this is her own story that she lived right?  So why is it so blatantly obvious that she is reading from a teleprompter or something?

The moral of this story is to not get caught up in the hype of all of these newly released Clickbank products that promise instant wealth at the click of a button.  What the copywriters of these products are doing is preying on people’s need for an instant solution to their financial problems.  It is so sad but it’s true!

So the next time that you see one of these products released, don’t buy it.  Just watch the video for its entertainment value and laugh your butt off.

What’s the funniest sales video that you have ever seen?  Leave a comment and let me know.
