Make Money with Article Marketing

The other day I was having a conversation with another online marketer and he told me that he is making major changes to his business.  This guy (who will remain nameless because I don’t have permission to reveal his name so I’ll call him Mr. X) said that many of his blog readers don’t believe that you can still make money online with article marketing.  They believe that it’s too slow or that its time has passed.

First of all this is simply not true.  Not only can you make money with article marketing but in my opinion it is one of the few ways that will still be around after other ways have run their course and died out.  Why, because the internet does now and always will need good quality content.  I am placing a big emphasis on the words good and quality, not junk!

It is my firm belief that article marketing will be around in some shape or form for as long as the internet exists.  The biggest problem with people thinking that you can’t make money with article marketing is that they don’t have any patience.  That is why you have recently seen a huge increase of $37 products popping up all over the place on sites like Clickbank.

These products promise wealth exploiting some kind of loophole or miracle software that will run on your computer or on a cloud server and will make you money while you sleep!  Crazy huh?  Yeah, well you get what you pay for…

What you really need is something that I wrote about on a previous blog post and that is to have an article marketing plan that you are willing to implement and stick to with some real consistency.

At the beginning of this year I considered releasing a new course on how to make money with article marketing, and now after conversing with Mr. X I have decided that I need to go ahead and complete it.  I know that my free methods are timeless and I will also put some tricks in there that will make you feel like you just took some article steroid pills!

For now just know that to make money with article marketing is all about consistency and stick-to-itiveness.  When I release my product “Article Gladiator” it won’t be a fad product.  It will be like the quality posts that you see on this very blog and I am going to try to help as many people as I possibly can.

Real Time Marketing

I was searching in Google recently when I decided to check out some of the other types of results on the left-hand side.  In doing so I was reminded of when I used to do real time marketing.

When you market this way you need to be in genuine help mode so that people don’t get the feeling that they are being sold to.

The best way to do this is using social media and the best one to use is Twitter.  Why Twitter?  Because unlike Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace and many others, on Twitter people will volunteer the most private and personal information without so much as a second thought.

If they are having a problem, they will tweet it in frustration and therein lays the opportunity for real time marketing.  You must be sure that you are not just spamming people with a marketing message.  It must be done with care and indifference.

But before I go into detail, I have to share this really funny tweet that I saw when I was doing my search.

Funny Twitter Tweet

Okay, now stop laughing and let’s keep going…

To be successful in real time marketing you need to make sure that people see you as being helpful in their time of need.  The key is offering a real time solution to a real time problem.

An example of this is say in the area of a problematically slow pc.  People really hate their slow computer problems and want it fixed right away!  In the real time marketing world this is a home run…

First you need to separate the marketers from the people with the problem.  The way that you do this is to go to Twitter.com or search.twitter.com and put in a niche term like “slow pc” but just the term alone is not enough.  You need to get rid of all of the marketers by placing negative parameters within your search.  You can do this by placing a minus symbol in front of what you don’t want to show up like so: -http -https -www.

What this will do is remove all of the tweets that contain a website address, hence separating the marketers from the real people with problems.  Your query should look like this: “slow pc” -http -https -www

Then you will see a variety of different people talking about different topics related to their slow pc.  You pick the ones where people are literally asking for or implying that they need a solution.

Now your first inclination is to send them a tweet that says something like “try this” or “check this out!”  Don’t because you sound like a used car salesman.  You need to engage and be social.  That is why it is called social media…

First ask them what their problem is exactly by using the @(their twitter username here).  When they respond, you tell them how someone that you know solved that problem with a particular product or service.  It can be a Clickbank product, Amazon, Ebay, etc.

DISCLAIMER: Before you begin, make sure that you have checked out the product(s) that you are recommending to people.  My recommendation is that you read actual customer reviews on related forums and not on the merchant’s website.  Your goal should be to actually help people and not just to make a buck!  People will actually thank you for your help.

In a nutshell that’s it!  You now know how to do real time marketing.

Be sure to let me know what you think about real time marketing in the comments section.

Free SEO Tools

I am all over the internet because I love online marketing.  The other day I was listening to a webinar and heard about a great website for link building.  I decided to check it out and to my surprise they also had a lot of great free SEO tools there as well.

If you’re an Internet Marketer you should know how valuable SEO tools are, but if you are not you need to take my advice and take a look for yourself.  LinkBuildingKing.com has over 30 free SEO tools there to take advantage of from backlink checkers to a meta-tags generator.

Personally I like the search engine position checker because it lets you find your website’s position on Google.  That is one question that I have heard asked on forms like the Warrior Forum and Digital Point many times.  So as far as free SEO tools go I really like that one and the others are really helpful as well.

That’s it for today!  I hope this post helps you.  Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments after you’ve taken a look at the free SEO tools.

Sneaky Entrepreneur?

I love hearing stories about how someone overcame the odds and found a way to make something happen.  To me there is nothing better than knowing that if others can do it, anyone that has an absolute unstoppable burning desire can too.

That brings me to today’s post about Kenneth Cole.  If you don’t know him you should.  I have many of his shoes and they are excellent!

Mr. Cole wanted to start his own shoe company but like most had very limited funds.  He didn’t let that stop him because a true entrepreneur looks at a problem and just sees it as an obstacle to get around.

Kenneth wanted to sell shoes off of a truck in a busy city location in a major metropolitan area but couldn’t because permits of this type were only approved for utility and motion picture companies.

That is where most people would have stopped, but not him.  He changed the name of his company from Kenneth Cole, Inc. to Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc.  He hired a director, producer and called his movie “Birth Of A Shoe Company”.

I love how he said that sometimes there wasn’t even film in the camera.  But aside from the movie they went on to sell 40,000 pairs of shoes out of the truck, which was the original goal all along…

It is clear that Kenneth Cole is not your average thinker.  He decided that he wanted to launch his shoe company in an area and way that was unconventional and he wasn’t about to let something like a permit stop him and neither should you.

Do you think like everyone else or are you an outside of the box thinker?  Leave a comment and share.

Webinar Hell?

Are you in webinar hell?  What I mean by that question is the preferred live method of selling by Internet Marketers is via webinar.

The old school method of selling using teleseminars to make fast sales in only an hour or two has given way to the new technology of the web.  A webinar normally holds a maximum of 1000 people per event and is an excellent way to sell products or services.

Just like the conversion boost that videos did for sales letters, it was a natural progression to incorporate video in a teleseminar.  Webinars are incredible for converting prospects into buyers because now they can see what you have to offer and you can demonstrate live or on a rebroadcast.  Even the smaller webinars can easily pull down $50,000 in just a couple of hours.  They are really great money makers and if you are in business online you really should consider incorporating them into the marketing plan for your business.

With all of the webinars that have sprung up in recent years, are their just too many now?  It is only my opinion but I don’t think so.  Like it or not, they are here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.

If you are unhappy with all of the webinars that are springing up left and right, all you have to do is unsubscribe from the number of lists that you are on so that you don’t feel overwhelmed by them.  They are just another tool to educate, learn and ultimately profit from.

Are webinars for you or are you in webinar hell?  Leave a comment and let everyone here know.
