Brick and Mortar Business Help?

Today I would like to talk about the brick and mortar business world and how people like us (meaning the Internet savvy) can help them with their online marketing.

Most online marketers think that business people from the conventional world understand what we take for granted and think of as basic, but that is simply not the case.  They are stuck in a time where you advertise in the yellow pages, newspapers, radio and television in order to get customers.

If you were to ask a brick and mortar business owner about getting customers through the web they would just think that you were trying to sell them a website.  They have no clue that there is so much more to marketing on the web than just a website.

The Internet is now a tool that cannot be denied as the future king of advertising.  Fortune 500 companies have shifted billions of dollars to the Internet because they know that the Internet has made the world smaller and more connected than ever!  Now small business is the next to follow this emerging trend in the next few years.

If you are an online marketer, you really need to consider helping offline businesses create an online presence.  Not only is it the next step in the online revolution, but it opens up another lucrative income possibility for online marketers.

Helping these types of businesses is far easier on a local level than a campaign would be on a national or global scale.  Getting to the coveted first page of Google is far easier for a local term like “San Diego pool cleaning service” than for a term like “pool cleaning service.”

There are marketers out there that are cleaning up providing ranking services to brick and mortar businesses.  So if you are an Internet marketer struggling to compete on a national and global scale, you might throw your hat in the ring and make a killing helping local business owners…

Am I right?  As always let me know what you think.
